Galactic Civilizations IV is a 4X strategy game set in space in the 24th century. Humans now travel faster than light and compete with aliens for dominance in the galaxy.
You start the game on your home planet and must go in search of new technologies, explore the galaxy and colonize new worlds while making sure your people are happy. You will also have to manage trade, diplomacy, organize plots and sometimes go to war with other extraterrestrial civilizations.
Galactic Civilizations IV builds on the strengths of previous games while bringing many new features. You will appoint leaders, explore different sectors and can enjoy a brand new combat and invasion system. Deeper research options, story-driven missions, and a new 4-axis ideology system will help you project yourself into your role as a galactic leader.
